The RUPY (Ruby & Python) conference will be held at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poland on 14th and 15th April 2007. The deadline for submitting talk proposals was 31st December 2006 but due to noticeable shortage of Ruby talks proposal, organizers have postponed the deadline for submitting talk proposals. The deadline for submitting talk proposals has been moved to 28th of February.
The idea behind the RUPY conference is to try to animate central- and east-european Python and Ruby communities. The conference is meant to serve the exchange of ideas on the scientific ground, that is use of mentioned languages for certain scientific problems like, for example, text parsing, and on the buisness ground, like use of Django or Rails for creating web applications. Exchanging prospective ideas would definitely help both the communities. Hopefully, organizers will catch some Ruby speakers soon.
